Performance Office Paper's mission statement is steadfast and has never changed. It is "to serve the customer." The paper industry is very competitive, and as a business they needed to operate in the most efficient, lean way possible and they knew that technology was a critical part of the equation. Unfortunately their current solution was not serving their needs. That's when they reached out to Synergy Services.
The first order of business was to get their current technology up and running without the issues they had been experiencing. The next step was to create a proactive plan for technology rather than continue the reactive course of spending to fix problems. Their technology spending was cut in half, which pleased their CFO immensely. In fact, she claims, "Synergy is one of the top five business decisions I've ever made."
Accomplishments include:
- Consolidated data from various locations including PC's and servers.
- Migrated from externally hosted email to interally hosted Exchange server, making their email much easier to use and administer.
- Extended the life of PCs by using Terminal services, a system where users access data and applications from a single source rather than saving information on individual computers.
- Designed server room and assisted in wiring design for new space and company consolidation.
